A Bedwars server is a Minecraft minigame server where every team starts on its own island with a bed: as long as the bed stands, your deaths are temporary. Generators produce iron and gold for gear, the center islands offer diamonds and emeralds for upgrades — and the whole art of the game is bridging across the void to break the enemy bed before they break yours.
Easy to understand, hard to master: Bedwars has become THE competitive Minecraft minigame, where fast bridging, resource management, and team coordination make the champions.
How to Choose a Bedwars Server
Anti-cheat first: Bedwars is the favorite target of hacked clients (kill aura, fly), and a lax server becomes unplayable. Then look at the formats on offer (solo, duos, 3v3, 4v4 — they feel very different), the quality and rotation of the maps, and the latency: PVP at the edge of the void does not forgive 200 ms of ping. A server hosted in your region makes a real difference.
Frequently asked questions
› Any tips for Bedwars beginners?
Cover your bed within the first minute (wool then wood or endstone — never a single material), do not carry all your resources on you, and learn to bridge fast: it is the number one skill. And lose without raging — everyone has eaten the void at the start.
› What is the best bed defense?
Layers of different materials: each tool only breaks one block type quickly, so alternating wool, endstone, and wood slows an attacker enormously. Add a blast-proof layer against TNT as soon as you can.
› Solo, duos, or 4v4 — which format should I pick?
Solo is the most nerve-racking and the most instructive; duos is the perfect balance of strategy and action; 4v4 is the most tactical, with roles (defender, rusher, collector). Start in duos with a friend — you learn without carrying the whole team.
› How do I get better at bridging?
Targeted training: many servers offer a dedicated practice mode (bridging, clutches, MLGs). Ten minutes per session is enough — consistency beats talent.
