All The Mods 10: To the Sky Modpack: Overview & How to Install

The concept: one tree, the void, and everything to produce

ATM10: To the Sky runs on the classic modded-skyblock loop: your tree provides wood, wood becomes tools and sieves, and Ex Deorum’s sieving turns dirt, gravel and sands into ores, seeds and rare fragments. Six mesh tiers gradually improve your yields, and every sievable block — gravel, dirt, soul sand, crushed netherrack, crushed end stone — has its own loot table. Quantity quickly becomes the bottleneck, and that is where the pack pivots into automation.

From there it is pure All The Mods: Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2, Create, Ars Nouveau, Occultism and the other pillars of the series are all present, with a quest book that structures progression more than the main pack does. The through-line is still the ATM Star, whose crafting forces you through nearly every major mod — an even prouder achievement when every resource was produced from nothing.

What changes compared to regular ATM10

To the Sky is not ATM10 dropped onto an island: the mod list is trimmed (about 320 versus 480) and the balance was rebuilt for the void. Modded dimensions (Allthemodium and friends) are unreachable in survival: only the vanilla Nether and End stay open, and resources that used to come from exploration flow through other systems. The team also deliberately cut down the Mystical Agriculture seed pool so everything does not collapse into seed farms: Productive Bees and GeOres — crystals that grow ore over time — pick up the slack.

The result: where ATM10 lets everyone chase their favourite mod across a generated world, To the Sky imposes a shared early game (sieves, first machines) and then opens back up once industry is rolling. It is a more legible pack for teams, and often recommended to players who find the kitchen sink too scattered.

How to install ATM10: To the Sky, step by step

The pack is distributed on CurseForge: the official CurseForge app installs NeoForge and the 320 mods automatically.

   Install the CurseForge app

   Download the CurseForge app from curseforge.com and link it to your Minecraft Java installation.

   Search for the pack

   In the Minecraft tab, search for All the Mods 10: To the Sky (ATM10SKY). It is the official pack by the All The Mods team, with over 3M downloads — do not confuse it with regular ATM10.

   Install

   Click Install: the app fetches NeoForge for 1.21.1 and the full mod list. Allow several minutes depending on your connection.

   Allocate RAM

   In the profile settings, allocate 6 to 8 GB of RAM. The pack is a bit lighter than regular ATM10 but is still a large 1.21 pack.

   Launch and start on the tree

   The first launch takes several minutes. Then create a world: the skyblock world type is preconfigured. Open the quest book as soon as you spawn — every sapling counts early on.

Recommended setup

Plan for 16 GB of system RAM so you can allocate 8 GB without starving Windows, a recent CPU and an SSD. Skyblock has one advantage: no costly terrain generation and no long-range exploration, so performance is often better than regular ATM10 on the same machine. Render distance can stay low (8 chunks) at no cost — there is only void around you.

Late game, the load comes from your own factories: banks of flux sieves, apiaries, crystal farms. Keep them inside a small set of chunkloaded areas and prefer a few high-tier machines over dozens of slow ones.

Playing To the Sky in multiplayer

Modded skyblock is built for team play: per-team islands via Skyblock Builder, natural specialization (one player on sieving, one on bees, one on industry) and an ATM Star that becomes a group project. Before joining a server, check the pack version (serious servers track the 2.x updates), the island policy — individual or shared — and the age of the map: arriving when veterans are already producing stars is less motivating.
